Standard UPS Shipping: For all orders, the default shipping method is UPS standard ground shipping, at the customer's expense. Metalexpress.com is integrated with the UPS pricing database, and all actual shipping charges are shown on the confirmation page prior to purchase.
Non standard UPS Shipping: Other UPS shipping options (Next Day Air, Second Day Air) are also available through metalexpress.com, at the customer's expense.
For shipping options other than UPS the following conditions apply:
FedEx, common carriers, etc, are also at the customer's expense, but require special arrangements. U.S. mail - a $35.00 service fee will be applied to all orders shipped via U.S mail.
When metalexpress.com detects an order that cannot be shipped via UPS, the customer will be notified/contacted (via email or phone) by a Metal Express customer service representative. Any order placed without special instructions will be shipped via UPS standard ground, customer's expense.
C.O.D. shipments are not accepted by Metal Express.

Taxed States: California, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin. Orders shipped to the above states will be charged accordingly.
If it is necessary to back order any item(s) - Metal Express will notify the buyer via email of the back ordered item and advise the expected due date. Metal Express reserves the right to hold orders for back-ordered items until order is complete for shipment.
Technical advice: None of our sales representatives, customer service representatives, agents, or employees have any authority to bind us to any affirmation, representation or warranty other than that stated on our delivery receipt or invoice form. Any technical advice we furnish with respect to the use of material is given without charge, and Metal Express assumes no obligation or liability for the advice given or the results obtained, all such advice, verbal or written, being given and accepted at the buyer's risk.
Title and Risk of loss: If material is shipped to a buyer via a carrier designated by the buyer (a non standard, non UPS shipping method), title & risk of loss to the material shall pass to the buyer when the material is loaded at our plant. For all standard UPS ground shipments, there is a period of up to 8 business days after shipment to file a claim for lost material. Replacement before this time is at customer's expense. If material is claimed lost, customer will receive credit for the lost order.
Order Cancellation & Returns: A buyer may NOT - except with the written consent of Metal Express - cancel an order or return material which has been specially cut to size from a full bar, sheet, or plate. The customer must place a call or email Metal Express (see our "Contact Us" page to find nearest branch to call or email). The customer only retains the right to cancel an order or replace material if the order has YET BEEN CUT. Once the material for a given order is cut, the order is no longer subject to cancellation, exchange or return. For all approved cancelled orders, a credit will be made to the customer's credit card account (if the order amount has already been charged). An email confirming the cancellation and credit will be sent when completed.
All confirming orders should be marked "confirmation" on the order in bold print when faxed or mailed. Unmarked confirming orders will be treated as orders, and we will not be responsible for any extra expense or inconvenience.
We disclaim all other warranties with respect to material sold or services rendered, whether express or implied, including the warranties of quality and fitness of the material or services for any particular purpose. By placing an order with us, a purchaser affirms that he/she has not relied upon the skill or judgment of us or any of our agents, employees or representatives to select or furnish material for any particular purpose, and the sale is made without any warranty by us that the material suitable for any particular purpose.
